How to "turn off" automatic sending (create "send only" accts)

I've been using Outlook Express for quite awhile &
thought it would make sense to switch to Outlook (2002).
I've got one problem: I send messages from about 8
different e-mail accounts. However, I only want to
receive messages on 5 of those 8 (as the other 3 are
actually set up to forward to me, rather than receive
directly).

For each account in Outlook Express, there's a
setting "Include this account when receiving or
synchronizing". I'd like to find a way to essentially
turn this off for those 3 accounts, but haven't yet found
a way to do it.

Thanks, Steve

Tools=>Send Receive->Send/Receive Settings->Define. Edit your accounts to
turn on or off Send and or Receive.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Steve Hurd asked:

So I think I just figured out how to do this...under
tools->options, there is a mail setup tab. Then there's
a "send/receive" button. By default there is an "All
Accounts" group. I turned that off, by unchecking the
buttons below (for "include this group in
send/receive"). Then I created a new group (which has
the accounts set up as I would like).

Other than a weird password problem, this works like a
champ.

Of course, it's only through the humility that comes from
asking for help, that this little bit of wisdom emerged.
