How to type in French on an American keyboard?

A

accent aigu

I do translation from French to English and vice-versa and need to figure out
an easy way to type accents in French using my American keyboard. I was able
to do it on my old computer using langauge called English (Int) but I cannot
find this feature in all the languages listed on this new computer. For
example, I used to do shift apostrophe E for E accent aigu....Thank you fro
any help!

It's a keyboard layout and it's called US-International (not English Int).
Moreover, it's not part of Office: you can use it in any program.
