How to use Publisher to make a booklet from PPT

I inherited a PowerPoint presentation with 20 slides. Each slide is landscape
and has two separate 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 panels that go together logically. I need
to print this as a booklet with a cover and back page. I expect to send it
out to a printer but must format it first. I found the 'Export to Publisher'
add-in for PPT but that did not result in what I was expecting. In PPT I can
select each side of the landscape page individually to copy. Can anyone help
me with this?

Setup your Publisher publication as a booklet. Do the copy/paste. The pages will be
in the correct order if you setup your document as a booklet.

Thanks Mary. I should have had more faith I guess. I didn't think it would be
that simple. When I get it printed, should I make a PDF for the printer or do
you think most printers can use a Publisher file?

Hi Mary, I made a booklet in publisher (4 pages at a time) and copied all of
the slides and adjusted them. I now have 40 pages. When I print a left side
page it prints the page and part of the right side as well. It looks this way
in print preview also but I foolishly thought it was a quirk of publisher.
The right side pages look fine. I made a PDF and it comes out this way too. I
hope I can recover without re-doing the entire thing.

Ok, operator error. I made the pages 5.9" because some of my slides were wide
on one side. DOH!! I changed it back to 5.5 and it organized correctly. I
made a PDF and at first thought it was messed up but publisher organized the
PDF for duplex printing and the pages came out perfectly. WOW. Thanks for the
help and encouragement.
