How unblock Entourage emails?

I've been using Entourage on Mac OS 10.4 for long time and need to
continue with it and its database. Just had Comcast transfer service
to my new home, and all is fine except Entourage no longer works, even
though I used the same Comcast ID, User Name, and Password that work
on Comcast webmail. The error message is "(IN-USE) account busy
(locked by another POP3 process)." I get that even though I use no
other email application or server and have signed off Comcast webmail.
Help would be GREATLY appreciated!

You shouldn't have had to do anything. I would install tcpflow to monitor a
connection between Entourage and comcast so you will have as much info as
possible when you call them.

Test your network with tcpflow. See directions here:

I agree. With an IMAP account I would say differently but a POP account
should just work. You can safely re-create the POP account in Entourage
and delete the old one without losing information. Maybe this will clean
up the problem.
