how will virus disseminate?

Hi,
I am currently using outlook express for my email account, I would like to
ask if I got a virus, how will it affect others? Only affect the one who's
in my address book? Or will it affect everyone who's email still inside my
inbox?

There are virus' that affect addresses belonging to messages in your
inbox, virus' that affect addresses in your address book, virus' that
download a list of addresses to send to and virus' that comb through
different file types on your entire computer for email addresses to
send to. So, basically, it depends on which virus you have. To avoid
this, get some antivirus software, install it, and make sure you keep
it up to date - this won't help with brand spanking new virus', at
least until the vendor gets out new defs, but it will definitely help
