I have been on the phone for 1 hour being sent backwards and forwards from HP
to Microsoft to get a new product key because the one that came with the
computer is invalid.

The numbers I have rung are 132058 and 131047. This is how HP and microsoft
treat their "valued" customers. The last man a foreigner who asked me if i
was in Australia, hung up on me.

I still after a month have not got a computer that works. Says a lot for
the staff employed by these companies. Surely it is a simple thing to supply
a Product key that works.

This is a public newsgroup hosted by Microsoft. I doubt if anyone here can
offer help.

Niether in this post or your last did you mention which product the key is
for, and where you found this key you have tried.
Your E drive being full is maybe because it is a recovery partition, you
would need to read the HP details that came with your PC as to whether you
need to create recovery cd/dvd's

Computer manufacturers often install a trial version of Microsoft Office. If you are getting a prompt to type in a Product Key when
opening a Microsoft Office program, it is likely the trial period is over and you'll need to purchase a license (product key) for
Microsoft Office.

The product key affixed to your computer is for Windows Vista (the operating system) and not for Microsoft Office. Please review
