html color code

Why oh why is there not an option to paste in html color code number when
changing colors on anything??? Only R,G,B. I find that unreal. And from what
I'm told the new publisher doesn't do it either. I assume there is no work
around for this correct?

Thanks!

because Pub is not really a web design tool.
use the program that Mary recommends and you can figure it out from there to
RGB...not ideal but then again...well, I won't say it again.

Thanks Rob. It still just seems so odd as many programs that are not for web
design have that option. I'll try to find the post by Mary... and see if I
can find what your talking about.

Thanks again for your input!

Oh I see now. I already us a color picker utility. The problem was not
getting the code within publisher. I was inserting it. Whenver I want to put
in an exact color for border, fill, font etc I have to 1. open the color box,
2. click on the second tab, 3. insert the RBG numbers one by one. Pretty slow
and antiquated. Just need the single html box to paste my number in. Boy
would that be awesome!

Thanks all!

then use a real html editor and learn CSS to apply styles.

Using the Tab key to move from box to box speeds it up slightly.

I've only ever seen this option in graphics programs, where it is
presumably for taking a colour and putting it into a web page elsewhere,
and in web design tools.

I agree that a nicer way to manage colours would be useful, but I don't
think adding a HTML Colour Code box would be the ideal solution there.
