HTML converted to text?

I'm running Outlook 2003 SP2...

I installed and re-installed this a few times but never had this happen:
when I get an HTML e-mail, (almost) all are being converted to text, with a
notice of same showing up just above the "To:"...

"This message was converted to plain text."

What causes this, can I stop it, and what's the point?

i have been facing the same problem wit my outlook 2003. Each time i use Word
or outlook to write my emails they are converted into regular text. and some
of the caracters i am writing are left out or replased by (?) or chinese
letters.

If anybody knows how to fix this problem please let me know.

You can show individual messages as HTML by clicking on the "plain text"
message.

You can turn off this feature completely by reversing the instructions
in this article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/831607/
