hyperlink command doesn't work.

i have 2007. all of a sudden, my hyperlink and symbols commands are greyed
out and do not work. any suggestions on what todo?

Hi Michael

Insert -> Hyperlink is only activated when something is selected and
Insert -> Symbol is only activated when your cursor in a
textbox/placeholder/shape. Might that be the problem?

If not, what has happened between it working and not working? For example,
have you downloaded an update, and add-in, anti-virus software, etc.
