hyperlink difficulties

I've created several documents using hyperlinks to other
documents for quick and easy access. I've noticed,
however, that on occassion some of these hyperlinks stop
working. The address on the document is no longer valid.

Any suggestions?

Any chance you moved or renamed the target file? Changing servers can have
this effect, as well even if the file structure on the server is the same.

This is a problem with relative hyperlinks in Word 2002, Excel 2002 and
PowerPoint 2002 to external documents on a network share. See the following
