You need to request the help for program you use for the site, not
Publisher. We have no idea which program you are using so we can't help.

I would suggest that you convert the flyer to a PDF file, upload it to your
server to perhaps a subfolder to contain it, and then write your link to the
file.

www.primopdf.com or if you have Pub 2007, then use the Save as pdf function.

If we have misunderstood your goals, please post back with a better
explanation of what you are wanting to do.

I did safe as a pdf file then tried to see if the links worked but they
didn't. So you are saying that I save it into a subfolder and maybe I can
work on it from there?

I'm not real computer savvy but I'm trying....I do hyperlinks on my website
all the time and thought that the flyers would work the same way...my bad.

Thank you very much for your help with this.

You seem to be talking about something different than "homesbykerry". You
seem to be saying that the hyperlinks you created do not survive conversion
of your Publisher publication to a PDF. If you are using the PDF add-in for
Publisher 2007, the hyperlink will survive the conversion...at least it does
for me. If you are using www.primopdf.com or some of the other freebie
tools, the link does not survive the conversion.

Hello,

I have a simular problem. We have a web site that all ready up. I made a sub
folder in index file folder. This Sub folder contains all my pdf's files. I
tried to link to one of the pdf files by using the url address and have tried
to link it by location. url worked half way. I can click on the icon while in
Publisher (edit mode) and it opens the web address to the pdf, but when I
publish the to web and upload it, the link do nothing when clicking on it.
Any suggestions.

thanks

You have probably either not uploaded the PDF file or you are writing the
link to the wrong location. I would suggest that you do not include the PDF
files in the index_files folder. That folder will be changed/overwritten
each time you update your website, and you do not want to upload the PDF
files each time. Instead create a subfolder called "downloads" at the same
directory level as the index_files folder and the index.htm file on your
webhost server, and upload your PDF files to that folder. Then the link to
those files would be:
http://www.yoursite.com/downloads/yourfile.pdf

Sorry, actually, it works now. Moving that folder to root works fine. My only
questions are about organizing the index_files folder because it's messing
and takes long to find stuff. I'm not sure if I make a new folder within the
index files folder will cause a problem. Also, I would like to make my wed
site look a little like modern web sites. Specifically the page layout; most
web site have a background that fills the whole page, and the main web
content in the middle, almost like they are not using the whole web page. Any
tips on these?
thanks

You have no control over the index_files folder. It is generated new each
time you Publish to the Web from your original Publisher file. You don't
organize it...you replace it each time you edit your Pub file.

As per the rest, please post your new question(s) in the web group as I
requested, and we will help you there.
