How do you insert a hyperlink or bookmark in a document so that when you
click on this word it takes you to another part of the document?

First use the Insert > Bookmark dialog to insert a bookmark at the
place you want to go to.

Then put the cursor at the place you want to jump from, and open the
Insert > Hyperlink dialog. On the left side, click "Place in this
document". Select the bookmark's name in the list, change the "Text to
display" entry if you want, and click OK.
