hyperlink to PowerPoint

Sorry this is a duplicate post from PowerPoint but on
sober second thought the question belongs in this forum.

I have a hyperlink from a Word 2002 doc to a
PowerPoint .ppt file. When I select the hyperlink the
powerpoint opens in a a browser similiar in presentation
form. How do I have the hyperlink just open the
presentation in an editing view?
