Hyperlinks in Powerpoint

Hello together,
I have a problem with hyperlink colors.
Some of my students made their presentations and I wanted to add all
together to a single one. This works well, but I have now the problem that
the colors of the hyperlinks are all the same in the slides...
means if there are slides from another student it often doesn't fit the
chosen background color of the slide anymore.
Is there a way, I can tell the program to have another link color for
example from slide 20 - 30 and then from 31 - 40 another one again?

Thanks in advance
Evelyn Frank

The solution depends on the version of PowerPoint you are using.

If you are using PowerPoint 2000 or earlier, then you can make a single
presentation that links to each of the others. Because they are separate
presentations, the color schemes (responsible for the hyperlink color) can
vary.

If you are using PowerPoint 2002 (XP) or newer, then you can edit the color
scheme for each slide master separately. So all you need to do is create a
new slide master for each of the student's presentations.

Post back with your version and we should be able to give you a bit more
specific advice.

Hello Bill,
thank you for fast reply.
We use PowerPoint 2002 (XP)
I never worked with Master slides...we always just inserted several slides
and format the background mostly with two colors mixed..some students like
to give their different slides a different background. Some prefer to
insert a grafic into the background. Also they have different sizes for
text and different fonts and work with word art too. Lol I know it is not
professionell but they should learn to handle all the different tools in
the program.
So I am not sure, if I can use now this master?

looking forward to your answer

hmmm you think best would be to make a folder and put in all the different
presentations. Then after the last slide of presentation 1 I give a link
to the presetation 2 and so on?

greetings

The easiest way for you to put all of the students' presentations together
will be to copy & paste them into your presentation and select 'keep source
formatting from the smart tag that displays near the slide miniatures. The
smart tag is a little pop-up thing that looks like a price tag (think Minnie
Pearl's hat). It will have two options, if you do not use it, or select
'use design formatting the slides will conform to your presentation's master
slide and color scheme. If you select 'Keep source formatting then the
slides will import and use the student's master slide and color scheme.

See if this works for you.
