Hyperlinks only showing placeholders

My hyperlinks only show placeholders in the FrontPage preview windows and on my published web pages as well. My links don't show broken and recalculating them doesn't bring my text boxes into view. I have a huge web site and all of my hyperlink text boxes only show placeholders with a X in it.

I just checked with my wife's laptop apparently my web site works fine. It is only doing this with my computer with my web site both on the web and in FrontPage on my computer. All other web sites on the internet are working normal from my computer with the exception of my own.

You are using Hoovers (JAVA buttons)
- requires a valid JAVA engine be installed on your (and any one else's machine)

Ps
you have also uploaded or published your site home page to a folder 1 level below your root web
