Hyperlinks

When I return to the original slide that my hyperlink is based on - the word
that was the hyperlink has vanished - but it still exists as a hyperlink -
i.e. if i put the curser over the "invisible" hyperlink, it is still there
and still works. Is there any way the hyperlink can be made visible so it
does not vanish?

Chrisrex,
Most probably the color of your followed hyperlink is the same as the
background color of your presentation.
Activate the task pane with the colour schemes, the color scheme you are
using has a blue border, click on the link at the bottom of your taskpane to
edit that color scheme. Check if the colour of the background (first swatch)
is the same as the accent and followed hyperlink one (the last swatch). If
that is the case change the background colour to something else, and hit
apply.
