I am Stumped

Dear Project Gods:

I have a task in a project file, the first in series of tasks that won't
move to the left no matter what I do with it. I've removed all constraints
and left it as soon as possible, removed it's successors and predecessors and
change the constraint to must start on and still refuses to move to the left
by any amount of time giving me a scheduling conflict dialog box.

Has anybody seen this before? Would this be a sign of a corrupted file?

TIA

Pingger

Never mind, I found it.

My schedulers have added successors and predecessors to the summary tasks
and it's honking the whole thing up. Need to give refresher training classes
again. Sigh.

Thank you. You guys are wonderful!

Hi Pingger,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

I think this is a known bug. Go to the Microsoft web site and search for
Service Release 2.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
