I am unable to input new product code for microsoft word

I have a new product code, because when my computer crashed it was neccessary
to reboot the computer, since I used the product code on my lap top and on
this computer when I first purchased the computer I am unable to reuse the
product code. I have another product code, but the computer will not allow
me to enter the numbers in

You've posted your Word question in the PowerPoint newsgroup.

My first question for you is, is this really a Word question, or is it
actually an Office question? What product is it you're trying to enter the
code for, and what version is it? (You can look on your CD to see exactly
what it says you're installing.)

What happens when you put the code from your laptop and this computer in
when prompted for a product code? "Unable to use" and "computer will now
allow me to enter the numbers" can mean a whole lot of different things, and
since we can't actually see what you're doing, you have to describe it very
specifically.
