It is a shame to find people that can bve so rude and arrogant. I happen to
have the same problem and expected some polite response, not an extremely
rude lecture as to how to post questions.

Well you brought it on yourself. Posting a message with "I can send
messages but not receive messages" in the subject line and NO DETAILS
WHATSOEVER in the body of the post - what did you expect? Do you think
we have crystal balls? Do you think we can see your computer?

with people in trouble. I do hope to get a cristal ball. It sounds like fun

Not rude at all. How on earth did you expect anyone to solve your
problem with no details? Do you take your car to the garage and say "it
doesn't work"? Of course not. Same applies here. Use a bit of common sense.

I'm going to use this subject title as my own now and I certaianly know how
to ask a tech question...so..if I may.
OK, I CAN send but NOT receive. I am running Server 2003 up to date,
Exchange 2007, Outlook 2007 all up to date. I can ONLY receive with the
alternate e mail addresses set up on the workstation mail settings, NOT with
the domain name address for which this Mail Server was built for.
I get no error messages, just people calling me and asking me if I got it. I
also e mailed myself from Yahoo and Hotmail to the domain e mail and I get
nothing. I "Sent" to my yahoo e mail and I DID get that. So, I can send, but
I cannot receive any mail from the exchange 2007 server.
Any ideas Gordon or Van?

Does the mail show up in OWA? If not, then you are off-topic for this
newsgroup as the issue is with your Exchange configuration then. Have you
verified your MX record settings and your firewall settings (or publishing
rules when using ISA)?

An Exchange newsgroup would be better to continue your troubleshooting
process.
