I cannot open a hyperlinked file

When I try to open some of the hyperlinks that I inserted in a spread sheet I
am getting an error message "Cannot open specified file". It does not happen
with every file, just some

Are you sure that the file is where your hyperlink points?

Can you do a file|open and open it manually?

The hyperlinks look ok and I can open the file manually

I'd try deleting the link and recreating it.

(I'm still guessing it's a typo -- extra space kind of thing.)
