I cannot see the photos in a brochure?

eI used the pack and go wizard to work on a brochure on a new computer. When
I unpacked and opened it, I could see text but not any of the photos. When I
clicked where a photo should be, I could tell it was there but I could not
see it. I saved it as PDF file and all the photos are there.

Is there something I can do or "reset" to see the photos again while I work
on the brochure?

Check that in view-picture the radio button is checked for deataile display,
if it is I think you will find that if your graphics card or drivers are to
blame. Update drivers first if still a problem go to
display-properties-advanced-troubleshoot. If the slider is on max ajust the
slider towards slow a notch at a time and check your images.

I am using a brand new dell laptop, I would think the drivers should be
ok-don't you? unless the graphics card just isn't strong enough..but it's a
brand new machine, you would think it would work?
The strangest thing happend last night..if I used my mouse to adjust the
size that publisher took up on my screen..grabbing from the right and making
it smaller-the graphics sudddenly appeared. but then when I started working
in the document, the images would leave again. very strange.

Pictures is set to show in detail, still no effect. I am not quite sure
where the "Slider" is that you are talking about. I went to desktop, right
click, properties, display-advanced and trouble shoot are on the same page, I
have to select one or the other..or are you talking about something else
entirely?

I appreicate your help. Forgive an old man his stupidity. :)
thanks

I did try these things, in detail is checked, couldn't find the display
properties, trouble shoot advanced that you mentioned, were you talking about
right clicking on desktop to go to display properties and finding a slder
there somewhere? I looked throughout and could not locate, so I am not quite
sure what you are talking about.

Another weird thing. if i resize the window that publisher is in, making it
smaller from right to left..the images pop up..but as soon as I enter the
page to edit, they go away..very weird.

it is a brand new dell lap top. so I would think the drivers would be up to
date..and I would think it would have a strong enough graphics card..these
are not huge images..just screen shots...I am quite perplexed.

The slider is located, control panel, display folder, settings tab, advanced button,
troubleshoot tab.
Even though your computer is new it doesn't necessarily mean the video driver is
current. Check the version against what is available at your video adapter
manufacturer's web site.

Thank you. I found it and was able to move the slider about midway which has
now enabled the graphics. Does this create other issues for my computer?
thank you for your help.
