I have just installed a new version of Publisher 2003. When I try to reset
the ruler origins by double clicking as intructed nothing happens. Can
someone tell me wat I may be doing wrong? Thank you.

Thanks for your response, Sue. I have used Publisher for years and just got this new version. I have always been able to make this work with the older versions but not with this one. Do you think it is possible that my copy of the software would not work Does not seem likely to me. Maybe I will try to call Microsoft tech support.

John-I meant Mary Sauer, go figure. Anyway, yes I did hold down the shift
key while moving the rulers. I have tried again and no way do the rulers
reset by double clicking. Do you think the type or mouse or the mouse
settings would make a difference, Thanks for your interest. lesbill

You have to hold ctrl and shift to set the ruler, when you use both, you then can
double-click to reset the ruler.

It doesn't work for me either. When I double click, the rulers just stay
there.

It works if you select both rulers holding control and shift and drag them to your
publication screen and place them where you want them. You can then use shift alone
to adjust. Double-click and the rulers reset.

Ah, my bad. I wasn't thiking you were talking about the rulers reseting at
"that" mark. I was thinking you guys were talking about the rulers going
back up to the corner.

I was aware of this current reset. I guess I though you found away for them
to quicly go back to the Publisher window border.
