I can't find my saved project

I am doing a word document and I saved every paragraph or so. I kept on doing
this until my computer said I had an error and I needed to shut down. I shut
down and I went to open the project again from the disk and It just showed up
blank in the word document. What happend and can I still find it back? Any
responce would be great! thanks

Were you saving to a floppy? If so then you've corrupted the file.
Don't Save/Open directly to/from a floppy.
