I can't get an upgrade package to recognize other office products

A

Anita

I have Word 2002 and Access on my computer. Both are legal. The upgrade
version of Office 2002 won't recognize them and won't load the software.
What do I do?

Could you be a little bit more specific?

Is Microsoft Word 2002 (Microsoft Word XP) a stand-alone install? (i.e. Did you purchase "Microsoft Word" and
NOT a suite/edition of Microsoft Office which included Microsoft Word?)

Is Microsoft Access 2002 (Microsoft Access XP) a stand-alone install? (i.e. Did you purchase "Microsoft
Access" and NOT a suite/edition of Microsoft Office which included Microsoft Access?)

What suite/edition is this Microsoft Office 2002 (Microsoft Office XP) Upgrade? (i.e. Microsoft Office XP
Standard Edition?)

The upgrade version of Office XP cannot be used in conjunction with Office
2002 programs as it is considered a "cross-grade" installation and does not
qualfy.

Anita

It's Access 95 full version and I have used it on my prior Windows XP
computer as the qualifying software for the Office XP Professional Suite.
The upgrade doesn't seem to work on the new computer. Word 2002 came with
the computer

Hope this helps
