I cant see images or templates in "normal view" other views OK

I cant see any images or templates in " Normal View", all other views are
fine. I have tried running repair and reinstalled but its still the same. In
the view tool bar drop down list the first item is " ERROR: No locale data".
any ideas?

Which version of PowerPoint? Make sure you have all the updates installed

Version 2002, and I think I have all the updates.

In PowerPoint, click on help, and about should read SP3. You may have to re
install PowerPoint and patches.
