I don't want automatically change color of fonts and shading

I think this is a bug, even though I could not find anyone else experiencing in a google search.
Whenever I move a spreadsheet from a workbook to another, I get all fonts and shadings change (fonts from black to yellow and shadings from yellow to red). I started those spreasheets in google docs, but reopened and saved as excel 2008 and the problem still remains. I did a test with new spreasheets in Excel and it does not seem to happen then.

The color palette is workbook specific. Sounds like the color palette of
the workbook you're pasting into has been modified - in which it's
expected that the pasted-in sheets will use the color palette of the
workbook it's pasted into.

XL workbooks can have a maximum of 56 colors in use at any one time
(though one can modify the palette to contain any 56 of the millions of
possible colors).

To reset the Color palette to default colors: Choose Preferences/Color,
and click Reset.

My color palettes sometimes seem to get corrupted. I've tried resetting the color, copying the color from another worksheet. If I'm just opening Excel, a new worksheet will have the correct default colors. If I open the worksheet with the bad colors, it changes the colors in my new worksheet that had good colors just prior. This has happened occasionally over the years and suddenly it's just stopped each time. I don't know what I've done :) Any ideas?

Since it's intermittent, it's hard to tell what 's going on. I can't
reproduce it.

The only thing I can suggest is that the file is corrupted, and that
rebuilding it (by transferring the data/formulae (only) to a new
workbook, verifying the correct color palette, then applying the desired
formatting) may solve the problem.
