I get message "Unable to open Pub doc".

I have had a couple people send me a Publisher document as an email
attachment, but when I try to open it, I get a message: "Publisher cannot
open the file".

I thought it was because the doc was created in a newer version than what I
had. Now I'm not sure because I tried to open another pub doc I received from
a different friend while at school. The computer has 2002 version and I
still can not open docs. Can you tell me why, and what I can do?

This is happening to me too. And I have don't have my antivrus blocking
anything. I hope someone is able to help you, so I can also be helped. Thanks
