I already have Office 2000 installed on my computer, but for whatever reason
I don't have Excel. I have the Office 2000 CD but it won't run because it
says I have already have a version installed. So do I need to remove the
previous office and just reinstall everything? Or will that delete all my
work? Or is there an easier way?

Use the Add/Remove option from Control Panel and use a maintenance
installation. Elect to install only Excel in addition to your other
programs.
