I need to advance to the next slide in just one click

I am working on a powerpoint slide presentation that will not allow me to
advance through with just one click, every page I have to click twice to get
to the next page- how can I fix this??? I do have music running in the master
of this presentation - does that have anything to do with it???

Something else on the slide is set to stop on mouse click or animate on mouse
click, so it depends on what else is on the slide, and possibly the music on the
Master. Check the music file on the Master. Right click it and select Custom
Animations. Is it set to Stop on mouse click?

We'll need more information if that isn't the problem. What version of
PowerPoint and what else is on the slides? Are all of your slides set to
transition on mouse click?

Nothing else on the slide is set to stop on mouse click- I have all of the
transitions on "with previous" or "after previous" I have the music set to
"with previous" too. I only want the viewer to click when they want to change
the slide and unfortunately it is not allowing me to click only once- the
slide changes after the second click. Help!

I can't see your slides. You would need to examine all objects on each slide to
determine what is waiting for a mouse click. If all else fails, you can add a
button labeled "Next" to your Slide Master and link it to Next Slide.
