i need to create presentations using my windows xp home edition

Do I need to download or install anything before I try to install powerpoint?
I have an office 2000 cd, but when I try to install it, I get a message that
it couldn't locate a certain file-for me to locate it first. You should know
that I am a complete rookie when it comes to moving around a computer-email
and ebay are about all i know how to do! :) simple instructions will do just
fine... thanx!

What does the CD cover say (Small Business Edition)? If so, that does not
include PowerPoint. What is the exact message you are getting when trying
to install? Of course, you could be trying to install an "upgrade" and it
cannot find a qualifying product.
