powerpoint presentation. I have a list of over 140 names and have to put in
alpha order. Can powerpoint do this?

I would either type the names into Word (last name first) and then use
Word's sort feature, or I would type the names into Excel (either last
name first or with separate columns for first and last names) and then
use Excel's sorting features. From there, you could copy and paste the
list into PowerPoint (although 140 names wouldn't fit very well onto one
slide. If you had to use PowerPoint alone, you would probably have to
write a macro to do the sorting.

Maybe if you explain what you want to do a little better, we can help
you. For example, I am curious if you are typing the names during the
presentation and if so do you have to type them while into PowerPoint in
Slide Show view? How are the names being displayed: all on one slide,
broken up over a few slides, one per slide? I'm sure if you explain it,
other questions will come up.
