I wish to apply a calendar to a project

I have a calendar from a previous project and now wish to apply it to a new
project, rather than the individual tasks in the new project.

You need to copy it into your global.mpt file to make it accessible to
all projects you use.

Click Tools/Organizer and then click on the Calendar tab. You can then
copy the calendar to the global.mpt file. Projects that you
subsequently open should then have access to this calendar.

Ferg,

After you use the Organizer to copy the calendar to the target file, you
will probably want to make it the default calendar for the target project.

Use Project > Project Information > Calendar and make your selection.
