I use letter head on my 1st page only. I use a 2" margin for it but only want
a 1" marging on the 2nd page. How do I do that?

Thanks

You don't say what version of Word you're running but, unfortunately, I've
not found the answer to this myself (using 2003). The best workaround I have
found is to set the top margin (in the page setup) to 2" and then use the
tab key to page down. That's what I've been doing and it appears to work
quite well.

I got this response from someone else and it does the trick. It looks like I
may have to do this everytime I write a 2 page letter, but it is better than
what I was doing. You go into page set up, layout, check the box differnt
fist page and change the header diminsion. I went to 1 1/2 " and it works. I
would like to default at that but not sure how yet.
I have Word 2002.
Thanks/

Yes. Create the layout you desire, and save it as a template (perhaps
named letterhead.dot) by clicking on File | Save As | Save as type:
Document template. By default, new Word documents are based on the
normal.dot template. But if you click on File | New, you can choose to
base a new document on your letterhead.dot template. See
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customization/CreateATemplatePart1.htm for
more information.
