Publisher is not a good tool for making complex logos.

I might suggest a tool such as CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, or Microsoft
Acrylic for this purpose, although none are easy to use.

Nah, Vector programs should be used for logos. I always strongly discourage
people from using raster programs for logos, and they always ignore me. And
then ask me why their logo is pixellated.

Hooked on vector...I've been using Xara..very nice easy too.

Also been messin' with Acrylic for the past few weeks...that's gonna be good
when it comes out - vector & raster and you can switch back and forth really
cool.
