IBM Bluetooth caused auto-restart PowerPoint2003 and Access 2003.

I have installed IBM Integrated Bluetooth II driver onto IBM T40, after
installed this driver, when I start PowerPoint2003 and\or Access2003 and
close it\them, it prompts up with error message: Microsoft Office
PowerPoint\Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something, the
information you were working on might be lost. _ Restart Microsoft Office
PowerPoint\Access. Do anyone here encounter this problem? I am sure the
bluebooth driver casued it because after I uninstalled this driver, no error
occurred after I closed PowerPoint2003 and Access2003.

I am not familiar with this problem, but I would start by doing some basic
trouble shooting.

Is Office up-to-date with all the SP's? They fixed a whole lot of issues,
this may have been one of them.
Same goes for your Windows Operating System.
Did you download the latest drivers for your computer and Bluetooth from
IBM?
http://www-3.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-46258#bluetooth

If these don't solve the issue or you find another solution that does,
please post back.

Thanks Bill.

I used this version of bluetooth driver at my T40, it cannot work well with
PowerPoint2003 and Access2003.

Any suggestion?

Contact IBM. If it's a problem specific to one of their systems, they'll
probably know how to resolve it.

I reported to Hong Kong support before but they said it should be the problem
of Microsoft Office2003. However, after I checked all TechNet from Microsoft,
no article descripted about this problem.

Do any here provide suggestion?

Wow, I don't know, then. I can't find anything about it in the MS knowledge

Do you have the latest service packs installed for your version of Windows?
How about SP-1 for Office 2003?

[TOP ISSUE - Are you having difficulty opening presentations in PowerPoint
that you just created (you can save, but not open)? -

Hello Kenzo,

This can occur on Far East versions of Office which include a "Special
Symbol" add-in.

For some customers, the problem has gone away after installing Microsoft
Producer for PowerPoint 2003.

When this doesn't work, the only other workaround has been to disable the
Bluetooth drivers on the affected system.

Dear Sir,

I have SP-1 installed at Office2003 already but all version of Bluetooth
caused the same problem with Access2003 and PowerPoint2003.

The only way for me to solve this problem is to install Bluetooth driver
prior than Office2003. After doing this both Access2003 and PowerPoint2003 do
not have any restart requested message prompt up after clicking the close
button of both of these applications.

It sounds like you've resolved the problem, then?

You might also want to look at the post in response to your other thread
from John Langhans [MSFT] today. He indicates that installing Producer may
fix the issue, which seems to be with a "special symbol" (??).
