I'd like it to disappear once deleted

How do I make something disappear once I delete it,
because now when I delete something in my IMAP server it
gets deleted but only a line is put across it instead of
what I what, which is for it to disappear.

Try applying the Hide Messages Marked for Deletion view. You'll still have
to use Edit | Purge Deleted Messages to perform the final deletion, but the
deleted items won't clutter the view any longer.
