Hi Harry,

A couple of choices come to mind. If you want a WBS sequence in the master
file (for example: 1, 1.1, 1.1.1, 2 etc), choose Project >WBS> Define code.
Set the sequence for each Outline level in the Project file to Numbers
(ordered).

If you don't won't want the WBS numbering scheme you could simply add a Text
field and type in the numbers. (Or cut and paste from Excel to be able to
use the fill command.)

To make the numbering scheme you created look like the ID numbers in a
standard table, first create a new table (or copy an existing one) through
View>Table>More Tables...New or Copy. The WBS field or the Text field you
used for your numbering sequence should be the first row in the Table
Definition dialog box. (If there is an ID field, delete it from the table.)
Check the checkbox "Lock first column" and the first column of the table
should appear like the usual ID column. The table then can be set as the
table part of a custom view (View>More Views>New or Copy).

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
