IF Function Help

Ooops. I still require the previous value to remain. I have a cell for
each week and once the calculation has been done that cell only needs
to record the value and no more calcs are required on that cell.
However with the above function it will change the previous cell to the
current value. ie week 1 is 50 and 50 is recorded in a1-week 2 is 20 and
is recorded in a2, with the formula below this changes the value to 20
in a1 also. i need it to not alter the value once it has been recorded.
Can I do this without using VBA or am I barking up the wrong tree.
Cheers

Sorry to say I believe that you are barking up the wrong tree.

I assume that you are saying that you have just one week's data in the
Calculation sheet which is referenced by the Record sheet A1, A2 etc. If
that is so then the only suggestion I could make without the user having to
do anything is to have repeated sets of weekly Calculations with each
Recording cell referencing its appropriate week.

Formulas are by their nature transient and you are looking for a fixed data
entry. You could copy and paste back into the same cell as Paste Special >
Values to remove the formula but that would require the intervention of the
user. Failing that your only recourse would be to a VBA solution.

Regards

Sandy
