IF Function question

John

Hi. I'm sorry if this is really basic but I had a
question about the IF function. It says that you can only
have seven "if" conditions in one formula. Is there a way
to get a lot more IF functions or another function that
acts similarly into one function? Thanks for any help.

Hi John!

In most situations VLOOKUP will be a better option than IF functions.

For these see:
Dave McRitchie
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/vlookup.htm

For exceeding the nested function (not just IF) limit see:

Chip Pearson:
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/nested.htm

But there will be other functions that might be appropriate so post an
example of your problem and see what is suggested.
