If I get Office 2003, will my info in Office 2000 be deleted?

I need to upgrade and am afraid of loosing all past Office 2000 information
(can you tell I am fairly new at this?;). If I download the newer version,
does it automatically override Office 2000 and put my old files in the new
Office 2003 programs? Or do I need to do that myself and then also delete
Office 2000? Thanks for your help -

It shouldn't but you know as well as I do that "Stuff happens". Do yourself
a favor and back your files up first. ;-)
