Im having trouble setting the =sum

HOW CAN I SUM UP A COLUMN IN WORD 2003 WHEN I USE DROP DOWN MENU'S FOR NUMBER
RESPONCE IN EACH ROW OF THE COLUMN. Im having trouble setting the =sum ( )
formula in word 2003 for adding a
column in the table i created. If my table info is to the left of the row i
want to place the sum then what command should i place in the ( ) WHEN USING
DROP DOWN MENUS FOR MY NUMBERS.

Set the calculate on exit check box properties of the drop down fields then
use the following formula example to add them
{ =SUM ({Dropdown1 },{Dropdown2 },{Dropdown3 })}
