Image Changing

Hello,

Is it possible to "change" the image of a picture, but RETAIN the size? I
have a lot of images on my word document, and I want to change them into a
different picture, but I want the size to be the SAME! The images I will be
swapping with have the same proportion anyway.

There is three ways of doing what you are after.
1. Change the proportion and size of the original, so when inserted it comes
in to Word at the correct size.
2. Have the image inserted into a single cell table. The image usually comes
in at the size of the cell (approximately).
3. Have a macro that resizes all images in the document to a certain size.
The images must be InLineWithText attribute applied. I have a macro (thanks
to an MVP on this site) which I can send you if you wish.
Hope this helps

I do have the original sized the way I want it. But when I try to insert the
new picture, it just literally inserts a new picture with default size. It
does not replace the original like I want.

When I say "original" I don't mean the one in Word that is to be replaced, I
mean the original artwork image, ie the one that is in Photoshop or what ever
application the images are being imported from.
For example if they are coming from Photoshop and they are size 8"x10", and
coming into Word too large, reduce the Photoshop image to a size that will
import correctly. This can be fiddly though.
Any of the others of interest?
