Image in Header or Footer

Is it possible to put an image (JPG, BMP, TIFF, etc.) into the header or
footer of a Visio document?

Not sure about previous versions, but it does not appear to be possible in
2003.

However, you can use a Background page to accomplish the same thing. Simply
create a Background page and add your image to the top or bottom of page as
desired. It will show up on all pages referencing that background
(accessible via page properties).

In most cases, header and footers and background pages are similar. Where they differ is in their flexibility and when drawing spans several physical printed pages. H & F's are not as flexible, but they do appear on each printed pages. For a similar effect, a background page would have to be split into seperate areas for each printed page. So an 11x17 page printed on 8.5x11 would have two background images on the background page.

So if the drawing page is the same size as the printed page, background pages should be used.

Right. I was assuming he wanted to place the graphics in one or the other,
but not necessarily both. The assumption could, of course, be wrong.
