What code can I use to put an image into a form to prevent spam and fake
registrations before the sumit button?

An image with associated code in the form page is not going to be very
useful. You also need server side code (asp, asp.NET, PHP etc.) to
validate the form - client side validation is not enough since it relies
on Javascript which spammers will have turned off.

I use ASP to ask visitors to do a very simple math problem. For example,
Int(Rnd()*20) + Int(Rnd()*20).

It's not foolproof, but it has cut spamish responses by over 95%.
