Images disappear from slide

On 3 occasions I have opened up a existing presentation to have the images
(JPEGs) not be viewable. However they do display on slide preview and in the
slideshow. Any suggestions?

MCT,

How many pixels do these JPGs have in them ?

it could be a 'resources' issue

Cheers

Thank you for replying.

Each image is 740 px by 493 px. plus a logo and a few others that would be a
bit smaller.

My hardware is a Dell XPS 3.4GHz with 2GB of RAM and ATI video card with
256MB. The "Use Hardware Acceleration" box is checked. I am setup using dual
monitors (extend desktop) with a resolution 1600 x 1200. The problem seems
to be a bit random. I did lower the resolution to 1024x768 on both monitors
and so far the problem hasn't reoccurred.

Random display problems often point to a need to update the video card driver or
turn hardware acceleration down or off. Video card manufacturers update their
drivers frequently, so it's always a good idea to check for updates every few
months. See:
