Imort mail from Outlook express 6

I have recently imported my email from Outlook Express 6
to Outlook XP(2002). As my pst file is approx 1.3 gb,
archiving seemed to be a good solution. I set the
criteria that any mail over 6 moths was to be archived.
When i check my archive folders no mail was present.
Delving a little deeper i discover all the mail had a
modified date of when i imported from Outlook Express.

Does anyone have any idea how to get around this problem?
Apart from moving mail manually.

Archive works only on the modified date of the item. You can create a
separate PST file & drag out items you wish, though.

Note - in general, wiser to export from OE to Outlook, rather than the other
way around....
