import a macro

I am trying to import my macros from my old PC into my new PC using word
2000. I can see the macros are there; however, when I do my keystrokes they
do not appear! I can go to TOOLS then MACRO then MACROS and then choose RUN.
And then the Macro appears, but not with the keystrokes. Please help me!!! I
do not want to recreate these macros!

From the Tools menu, select Customize and then select the Commands tab and
click on the Keyboard button at the bottom of the dialog. In the Customize
Keyboard dialog that appears, scroll down in the Categories list to Macros
and then your macros should appear in the right hand list box (now with the
label of "Macros". Select each macro in turn and assign the keystrokes that
you want to use to run that macro.

Try this:

Open Word
Right-click on the toolbar area.
Choose "Customize" (bottom of list)
Click on the "Options" tab
Click the "Keyboard..." button at the bottom of the dialog
Scroll the "Categories" list to the bottom and click on "Macros"
Select a macro from the "Macros" list.
Click in the "Press new shortcut key" text box, so that you see a blinking cursor in there.
Type the keystrokes you want to use to run the selected macro.
Click the "Assign" button in the lower-left corner of the dialog.
Repeat for each macro.
Click "Close", and then "Close" again.

hth,
