Import from ODBC not among choices

I had to reinstall my system following a stop error after W2k SP4 install -
thanks Bill <GGGG>. Now after reinstalling Office XP with frontpage from my
msdn subscription DVD I no longer see the choice for doing an Import or a
link from the dropdown list for Files of type:

I uninstalled and reinstalled the complete Office XP twice but I still get
same list, strangely it starts with Registry Error(*.*) as the first file
type. It should show the first choice as Access and the last choice as ODBC,
neither are there. Anyone know how I can fix this problem? It,s killing me,
been working a week and a half now on trying to restore the functionality of
this machine to what it was before they did it to me once again <GGGG>
