Import Word text into Publisher into many text boxes?

I need to regularly create a newsletter with many short items. It is pretty
tedious to copy and paste all those short bits into individual text boxes. Is
it possible for me to import the text from MS Word 2007 into MS Publisher
2007 and have all the different paragraphs or sections get placed into
individual text boxes? How do I then indicate in Word where the next text box
must be created (by inserting Section Breaks for example)? This would save me
a considerable amount of time and effort. Many thanks to whoever can help me
with this!

You cannot do this in Publisher. You can create a text box, right-click, change
text, text file and browse to a Word document. Can you not type the short bits
in Publisher and by-pass Word?

Thanks for the quick reply.
I can't bypass Word because others write the items and all paste them into a
single Word document. Is there no way to automate the text box creation
process so that I don't have to create 30 boxes and paste the text into each
one. Can it be done by saving the Word document as .html (or something else)
and entering some code to indicate the creation of a new text box?
The reason I am so persistent about this is that I can't imagine this would
not be possible. I surely can't be the only one to have encountered this
situation. And isn't the quick and easy exchangeability of information
precisely the benefit of having a large software package such as MS Office?

Thanks for the reply, but that is not what I am trying to achieve. I want to
have multiple boxes on a single page, some with only a short paragraph of
text. The paste - overflow function produces one large text box per page with
Publisher deciding where to cut the text.

I am now approaching the problem from a different angle, trying to paste all
the text into a single box and then trying to manually split this box into
multiple new boxes. But Publisher can't seem to do this quickly! So maybe
Macros are the next step. Anyone have any advice on either of these two
approaches?

Publisher automatically creates linked text boxes when you import a Word
document.

You can sort of do what you are trying to do by creating small text boxes, link
them manually and then paste/import your text. Be aware when you break a link
all the text will be in text box number one even though you cannot see it.
Elongate the text box.
