All of a sudden, when I import a clip art image and click "Ungroup" the
picture disappears.

Try it in safe mode, if it works upgrade your video driver. Go to the manufacturer's
web site and see if one is available.

Thanks Mary...but, 1) I don't know how to open Publisher in a safe mode and
2) how do I know who my video driver manufacturer is. It's really strange
that this problem has just cropped up...I've had this computer for two years
and never had this problem before.

To open Publisher 2002 or 2003 in Safe Mode, hold down Control (or Ctrl)
while you open Publisher and click Yes at the prompt
If that fails (and/or you are running an older version of Publisher), try
starting Windows in Safe Mode, by holding Control down while you boot your
machine. (If you are running Windows 95, you need to press F8 at the
"Starting Windows 95" prompt)
2) how do I know who my video driver manufacturer is.
Right-click My Computer (on the desktop or in the Start Menu), click
Properties
Go to Hardware, and click Device Manager.
Look under "Display adapters", an entry should appear for your graphics
card. This will tell you the manufacturer of the graphics card, and so on
whose website you should look for an updated driver.

Which version of Publisher?
